The Nanna Living History Museum is one of Nigeria’s 52 museums under the auspices of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments NCMM. The National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) is an offshoot of a department in the then Federal Ministry of Works that was established in 1953. It was transferred to the Federal Ministry of information as the Department of Antiquities in1953. NCMM runs the museum with an advisory board.
